Fatal Crash Jams 15 Freeway Through Temecula

TEMECULA, CA — A crash Tuesday morning on southbound Interstate 15 in Temecula was fatal.

The multi-vehicle crash was reported at approximately 6:18 a.m. south of state Route 79.

A SigAlert was issued moments later.

A pickup truck was involved in the crash and at least one other vehicle.

Preliminary reports indicate the deceased was ejected.

It appears alcohol and/or drugs were a crash factor.

The California Highway Patrol is investigating the incident. As of 9:47 a.m., southbound traffic remained slow.
