Head To Temecula Walmart Pharmacy Saturday For Wellness Day

Wellness Day allows customers and patients to learn about their health and build relationships with the Walmart pharmacy team members.

TEMECULA, CA — Walmart is inviting the public to its 4,600 pharmacies nationwide to take part in the store's Wellness Day on Saturday. This is the first wellness event of 2024, according to a chain spokesperson.

"Customers can enjoy free screenings for things like glucose, cholesterol, body mass index, and blood pressure, as well as affordable immunizations for flu, COVID-19, HPV, mumps, and measles in Temecula and at over 4,600 pharmacies nationwide," a spokesperson for the event said.

Visit your Temecula Walmart from 10 a.m. to 2 p.m. at 32225 Temecula Parkway for free health screening services.

Actor Kevin Hart will make an appearance at a Los Angeles Walmart store on Saturday, promoting VitaHustle and this premium nutrition brand, which is available at the Temecula superstore.

"Walmart and I share a commitment in highlighting the profound importance of prioritizing wellness," Hart said. "It's had a transformative impact on my life, and teaming up with Walmart means we can build healthier, happier communities together."

Select stores will also feature vision screenings, in-store giveaways, and demos of wellness products, a spokesperson said. Walmart Wellness Day events include the following health resources, administered by qualified pharmacy and Vision Center teams:

  • Free health screenings, including glucose, cholesterol, blood pressure, body mass index, and vision screenings (select locations).
  • Affordable immunizations, including flu, measles, mumps, pneumonia, tetanus, HPV, rubella (MMR), varicella (chickenpox/shingles), whooping cough (TDAP), hepatitis A & B, and more.
  • No cost to patient COVID-19 vaccines.
  • Wellness resources and the opportunity to talk with pharmacists.

Kevin Host, Walmart's senior vice president of Pharmacy, discussed the importance of the wellness day for area neighborhoods.

"Wellness Day is a fun experience that allows customers and patients to check in on their health while building relationships with our incredible pharmacy teams. The Senior Vice President of Health & Wellness Consumables at Walmart, Ralph Clare, also weighed in on what customers can experience on Saturday.

"It's the first of the year, and we know a lot of people are eager and motivated to begin a new wellness journey. We want to help them do that, with even more savings through rollbacks across healthy foods, vitamins and supplements, and fitness gear."

Since 2014, Walmart pharmacies have hosted Walmart Wellness Days, contributing more than 5 million free health screenings for customers. More than 4,000 Walmart stores are in medically underserved areas, which means Walmart is often the first stop for health care in these rural and underserved communities.
