Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care Celebrates 15 Years

Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care recently surpassed 15 years of providing urgent care services to the Temecula Valley and surrounding communities. To celebrate this milestone, the Temecula Chamber of Commerce held a ribbon-cutting ceremony on August 10, 2022. With 15 years of service to the community, Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care Clinic, located at 41715 Winchester Road, Suite 101 in Temecula, now looks forward to the future by continuing to meet the needs of community members looking for compassionate, urgent care when they need it most.
Sixteen years ago, Mr. Steven Schutz realized that afterhours urgent care was critical for the families in the Temecula Valley and surrounding communities. After serving in the Navy and Marine Corps, where he cultivated his passion and expertise for quality medical care, and then earning a degree in sports medicine and becoming a Physician Assistant, Mr. Schutz began practicing pediatric care in Temecula.
Mr. Schutz quickly realized that a 24 hour urgent care facility, an alternative to the ER, was desperately needed in the community. Furthermore, providing affordable, accessible, and quality medical care was important to him after witnessing patients not getting the care they needed due to financial constraints and delays in Medicare payments.
Thus, with the support of his wife, Cassie Schutz, and other physicians who shared the same entrepreneurial spirit and passion for taking care of others, Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care was born.
Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care provides exemplary care to those in need seven days a week, 24 hours a day, and trains those devoting their lives to the medical field. The staff has trained hundreds of physician assistants, nurse practitioners, medical assistants, and x-ray techs.

During the pandemic, when many other clinics closed their doors, Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care was the only clinic in the area that remained open 24 hours a day, seven days a week. Now on the other side of the pandemic, Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care continues to offer excellent patient care in times of need, offering a wide array of services, including COVID and flu testing, immediate care for non-emergency illness and injury, and onsite services such as x-rays and lab testing.
Drs. Allen Phelps and G. Ryan Dominguez are a few of the very dedicated and skilled providers at the urgent care clinic.
Dr. Phelps has over 26 years of experience in the medical field, including 13 years in urgent care. He began his career as a hospital corpsman in the U.S. Navy, eventually progressing to X-ray technologist and then a Physician Assistant, earning his Doctorate of Medical Science degree, in addition to an MBA.
Dr. Dominguez brings over two decades of experience to the urgent care. He is a top rated, board-certified Family Medicine Physician offering a variety of services, including wellness exams, treatment for sleep disorders, bioidentical hormone replacement therapy, medically-supervised weight loss, and more. He has been voted by San Diego Magazine as one of the area's "Top Doctors" for seven consecutive years.
In addition to their work at Temecula 24 Hour Urgent Care, Mr. Schutz and Drs. Phelps and Dominguez have recently collaborated to launch Temecula Family Medicine, a primary care office to meet the needs of families in the Temecula area seeking a quality Primary Care Provider.
