Temecula Valley USD Special Recall Election: Registrar Issues Reminder

As of May 17, the Registrar of Voters had issued approximately 21,850 vote-by-mail ballots for the June 4 Special Recall Election.

TEMECULA, CA — Temecula residents who want to participate in the June 4 Temecula Valley Unified School District, Trustee Area 4, Special Recall Election have a fast-approaching deadline.

Monday, May 20, serves as the final day for residents in Trustee Area 4 to register to vote in the election. (Click here to see if your residence is in Trustee Area 4. Only voters within the boundaries are eligible to cast a ballot.)

Though beginning May 25, eligible voters who miss the registration deadline can still register and vote on Election Day through "conditional voter registration" by submitting an application in person at the Registrar of Voters Office, 2720 Gateway Drive in Riverside, or at a vote center on or before Election Day.

Conditional voter registration is a safety net for Californians who miss the deadline to register to vote or update their voter registration information for an election.

First-time voters in Trustee Area 4 who want to vote must complete a voter registration application (available throughout Riverside County at the post office, library, city and county offices, and the Department of Motor Vehicles). Voter registration forms can be submitted online, by mail or in person. Individuals can visit the Registrar of Voters website at www.voteinfo.net or contact the office directly at 951-486-7200 for more information.

Existing registered voters within Trustee Area 4 can update their residence address and change their political party preference at a vote center by completing a form. Find vote centers here.

Eligible voters who recently moved within Trustee Area 4 must re-register to vote in order to cast a ballot in the special election.

As of May 17, the Riverside County Registrar of Voters had issued approximately 21,850 vote-by-mail ballots for the June 4 Special Recall Election, and approximately 2,459 had been returned. This number takes into account supplemental voter registration and ballot reissues.
