DENVER, CO — The visitors are coming, the visitors are coming!

Here is our list of the 10 best things in the Denver area to share with visiting out-of-towners.

1) 5 Little Man Ice Cream Spots. Take your visitors to one (or more) of these fantastic ice cream shops, all owned by the same company. Each has a different concept and serves a bit of a different menu, from a building shaped like a plane to an 80s joint that serves fries with your soft serve.

2) "Denver's Best Biergarten." Take your visitors to the self-proclaimed "Denver's Best Biergarten." This place serves some pretty strange brews, such as Cherry Kriek, Breakfast Grapefruit IPA, Le Bruit Du Diable Farmhouse Ale and Dr. Strangelove Barleywine. It will be an experience none of you will forget. Don't forget your pup: It's dog friendly!

3) New Belgium Brewing at the Source Hotel. Take your visitors to a beautiful rooftop where they can try a beer made in the hotel. It's not very often that you can sip on a rooftop, just floors above the brewing.

4) Blue Moon Brewery. If your guests aren't fans of the hippy indie beers and brews, take them to a more familiar place. Blue Moon is a staple, and their brewery is the place to go to show visitors a classic beer experience. According to the website about the brewery, the location does have some innovation. They brew "fan favorites (old and new), and [experiment] with new and unique ingredients on our pilot brewing system. With 20+ rotating taps, we invite you to pull up a barstool and enjoy one of our special brews."

5) Red Rocks Amphitheatre. Visitors will love attending something at Red Rocks, from one of the many concerts to yoga. Even better — make the event at Red Rocks into a day trip and take a look into the Colorado Music Hall of Fame, located just below the main stage of the amphitheater.

6) The Clear Creek Whitewater Kayaking Park. Encourage your visitors to give kayaking a try, because why not? Golden offers a recreational course, rental opportunities and lessons. Where else are they going to find a kayaking course like this? According to the website, "The Clear Creek Whitewater Kayaking Park is one of Golden’s most unique recreational attractions. Built for recreational canoeing and kayaking, the course is one quarter of a mile of adventurous, splashing fun! This innovative recreational experience is divided into sections. "

7) 40 West ArtLine. Pack some provisions and take your guests to follow the green line for a free 4-mile outdoor art experience on the 40 West ArtLine.

8) International Church of Cannabis. This is one of Denver's lesser-known gems, but out-of-towners need to visit it for sure. On one hand, the thought process is interesting. According to the official website, "church members use the sacred flower to reveal the best version of self, discover a creative voice and enrich their community with the fruits of that creativity. Unlike other belief systems, there is no need to convert to Elevationism." The visitation experience is also interesting. The church offers "A Guided Meditation and Laser Light Experience" daily and has a truly fantastically gorgeous interior that is painted entirely rainbow. Learn more here.

9) Elitch Gardens Theme & Water Park. Whether you have a family with young children visiting or a group of adults, rollercoasters and a water park will make anyone happy. With kids rides at the theme park and family slides at the water park, this location is fully family friendly. That doesn't mean it isn't fun for the big kids too, though. There are plenty of thrilling attractions to satisfy the adrenaline-seekers.

10) Larimer Square. History meets modern day: These historic buildings, dating from Denver's founding, now house creative shops. According to the website, the square was "the city’s first block, its first commercial district, home to its first residence and first city hall, and was the city’s first designated historic district." Now, it's "an iconic and lively gathering place ... the beating heart and creative soul of Downtown Denver."
