Preferred Utilities Supports Cub Scouts Pack 33: A Commitment to Community and Youth Development

At Preferred Utilities, we believe in the power of community and the importance of supporting initiatives that nurture future leaders. We are thrilled to support the Cub Scouts Pack 33 Golf Tournament fundraiser again this year on July 29th in Middlefield,CT.

Cub Scouts Pack 33, based in Groton, Connecticut, has been a cornerstone of the community for over 30 years. The Pack helps young boys and girls develop essential life skills, foster teamwork, and instill a sense of responsibility and community service. Their activities are fun, educational, and empowering, providing scouts with a robust program that helps them grow into well-rounded individuals.

The Pack meets monthly and holds regular den meetings once a week, focusing on requirements, trips, and service projects. These activities help scouts earn various Adventures specific to their grade and rank. Pack 33 emphasizes character, citizenship, leadership, and personal fitness, offering a range of awards throughout the year.

David Bohn, President and CEO of Preferred Utilities, grew up in Redding, Connecticut, was a Cub Scout in Pack 118, and has spend his career at the family business in Danbury, Connecticut. His deep ties to the community drive our commitment to local initiatives. "Supporting Pack 33 is part of our dedication to fostering growth and development in our community," says Bohn.

Their fundraising Golf Tournament brought together community members, parents, and local businesses, all united to support the scouts. Preferred Utilities is pleased to again take part this year.

Pack 33 expressed their heartfelt gratitude for our support in a thank-you note expressing how our contribution helps them offer a robust program. This message of appreciation reinforces why we engage in community support initiatives: to make a difference, provide opportunities, and ensure programs like Pack 33 thrive and positively impact young lives.

Together, we can make a difference. Thank you, Pack 33, for allowing us to be part of your journey!
