Greenwich Public Schools Calendar For 2024-25: Key Dates To Know

GREENWICH, CT — The end of summer is rapidly approaching for Greenwich students, and its once again time to prepare for the upcoming school year.

The first day of school in Greenwich Public Schools is Friday, Aug. 30.

Here are some of the other important 2024-25 school year dates to get on the calendar:

• Start date: Friday, Aug. 30
• Labor Day, no school: Sept. 2
• Rosh Hashanah, no school: Oct. 3
• Columbus Day, schools open: Oct. 14
• Teacher Professional Learning Day, early release: Oct. 23
• Election Day, no school: Nov. 5
• Veterans Day, schools open: Nov. 11
• Thanksgiving recess: Early release Nov. 27, no school Nov. 28-29
• Elementary conferences, early release: Dec. 2-3
• Elementary conferences, evening: Dec. 4
• Holiday recess: Dec. 23-Jan. 1
• Martin Luther King Jr. Day, no school: Jan. 20
• Winter recess: Feb. 10-14
• Presidents' Day, no school: Feb. 17
• Teacher Professional Learning Day, K-8 conferences, no school: March 10
• K-8 conferences, early release: March 12
• Eid al-Fitr, schools open: March 31
