Foxwoods To Hire 300-Plus Workers

Foxwoods Resort Casino announced it will be hiring more than 300 workers in response to increased demand.

MASHANTUCKET, CT — Foxwoods Resort Casino has announced it will hire more than 300 people due to increased demand, according to a statement from the company. The positions include both full-time and part-time work in a variety of departments, including hotel operations, food and beverage, security, accounting and more.

Foxwoods also said it is increasing its starting wages. Pay ranges for all non-tipped, frontline positions will be increased to at least $13.50 per hour. During June, July and August, hourly employees will also be paid double-time for any hours worked after having reached 40 hours in the work week.

Additionally, Foxwoods will be offering team members a $200 referral bonus – after completing a successful 90 days of employment, the referred team member will also receive $200.

The move comes as more people are being vaccinated and COVID-19 restrictions are being relaxed across the state.

New hires who live in Connecticut can also take advantage of Gov. Ned Lamont’s recently announced hiring incentive program, Back to Work CT. The first 10,000 long-term unemployed workers statewide who find a job will receive a $1,000 signing bonus after they’ve spent eight weeks in their new full-time position.
