Grace By Nia Supper Club To Open At Foxwoods Resort Casino

The modern-day supper club will offer dishes such as "voodoo oysters," fried green tomatoes and other classic southern flavors with a twist.

LEDYARD, CT — Grace by Nia, a modern-day supper club offering traditional southern flavors with a twist, plans to open a new location at Foxwoods Resort Casino later this month.

According to a news release provided by the casino, venerable community leader and visionary Nia Grace will open the doors to the new Foxwoods dining experience, the concept's second location in partnership with Big Night and the first black-woman-owned supper club in Connecticut, on May 16.

The modern-day supper club opens at Foxwoods right on the heels of the one-year-anniversary of its inaugural location in Boston's Seaport District and brings a new brand of cultural vibrancy and soulful flavors to the leading resort and casino, according to the casino.

"We're excited to welcome both locals and visitors alike to dine, drink, and dance with us," Owner Nia Grace said in a news release. "At Grace by Nia, every aspect is meticulously crafted to offer an unparalleled experience. Beyond mere dining, it's a soulful voyage embracing art, community, and creativity. Our menu epitomizes this commitment, curated to facilitate shared moments of joy and connection, ensuring each visit is truly exceptional."

The 196-seat space, with a design thoughtfully developed by esteemed designer Peter Niemitz, boasts details that transport guests to a bygone era, adorned with opulent gold and serene teal accents, accompanied by grand golden palm trees that embellish the space. It invites guests to indulge in the perfect blend of live entertainment and culinary mastery within a captivating setting boasting a range of seating options.

Whether guests prefer the expansive bar, cozy restaurant-style seating, or the intimate stage and lounge area, each spot offers a unique perspective for guests to relish the vibrant live performances, featuring captivating sounds from local jazz, R&B, soul, and hip-hop artists.

"The Big Night Entertainment and Nia Grace collaboration is a winning combination and witnessing the rapid growth of the Grace by Nia brand is a testament to the strength and success of this partnership," Principal Ed Kane said in a news release. "The future of the Grace by Nia brand is incredibly exciting."

Dishes like Voodoo Oysters (pancetta braised collard greens, pimento cheese, firecracker breadcrumbs) and Fried Green Tomatoes (green beefsteak tomatoes, fresh mozzarella pickled onions, basil oil, balsamic) offer guests a taste of traditional Southern flavors with a twist.

Entrées like the Caribe Yardbird (jerk spiced roasted and charred chicken,seasonal succotash, salmoriglio sauce, herbs & radish), Beets by Grace (golden, ruby, candy cane beets, charred broccolini, rainbow quinoa, arugula, blood orange, toasted chickpeas, champagne vinaigrette), Low Country Fish & Chips (beer battered catfish, pickled slaw, Cajun fries, creole remoulade) and The High Note Burger (two four ounce short rib, brisket, and angus smash patties, pepper jack cheese, tobacco onions, green tomato and bacon jam, shredded lettuce, lemon herb aioli, brioche bun, house pickles, truffle parmesan fries) are also sure to delight.

Dessert selections including a grilled poundcake will also grace the menu, according to the casino.

The creative cocktail program includes a variety of sippable selections like the Law & Order (Corvus Grilled Pineapple Vodka, Chipotle, Citrus, Bitters, Smoke), Smoke Break (Dos Hombres Mezcal, Gochujang Honey syrup, Raspberry, Smokin’ Citrus) and Moment of Clarity (D’Usse VSOP, Cruzan Coconut, Pineapple, Lime, Orgeat, Cardamom).

Guests can also enjoy shareable cocktails like the Sangria Roja (California Red Wine, Absolut Raspberri, Branson VSOP, Peach & Citrus). Non-Alcoholic Selections like Lychee No-Jito (Muddled Lime, Mint, Lychee Calpico, Soda Water) and the Peach Sweet Tea Lemonade (White Peach, Lemon, Sweet Tea) will also be available.

In addition to dinner service, brunch will be available upon opening and will be offered every Saturday and Sunday. Grace by Nia will be closed Monday-Wednesday and open Thursday from 5 p.m. to 12 a.m., Friday 5 p.m. to 2 a.m., Saturday from 11 a.m. to 3 p.m. (brunch) and 5 p.m. to 2 a.m. and Sunday from 12 p.m. to 8 p.m. with brunch offered all day.
