Teachers from Gales Ferry and Gallup Hill School among others, banded together and en masse, got into their cars and, with a police escort for safety, drove through neighborhoods waving and yelling out to their students saying, "We love you." And, "We miss you."

Students are home until ...we don't know when, as the COVID-19 pandemic wreaks its havoc. But often, the worst brings out the best. And that's what happened in Ledyard today.

"Thanks to all who were involved," he said to Patch.

Be still our collective hearts.
