Storms in This Weekend's Ledyard Forecast

Here are the latest details on the upcoming weekend weather forecast and when the rain will begin.

Our streak of sunny weekend weather was bound to end at some point and it appears Mother Nature has chosen this upcoming weekend to change course.

The sun will remain largely hidden this weekend, possibly until Tuesday, according to the National Weather Service.

Thursday’s forecast includes plenty of sunshine and temps in the mid-80s, but beginning late Thursday, showers and thunderstorms are forecast for all of Connecticut.

On Friday, showers and thunderstorms are possible and rain may be heavy at times. The chance for unsettled weather lasts the entire day and anywhere up to a half-inch to three-quarters of an inch of rain is possible for Connecticut, the NWS stated.

In northern Connecticut, rain is less of a possibility. The chance for unsettled weather on Friday is 70-percent.

On Saturday, there is a 50-percent chance of showers and thunderstorms for all of Connecticut and the skies remain mostly cloudy. On Sunday, there is a 40-percent of showers and storms for all of Connecticut with skies once again mostly cloudy.

A similar forecast is predicted for Monday before the sun is expected to return on Tuesday.
