MANCHESTER, CT — A fire broke out at a large apartment complex in Manchester early Friday morning.

At 2:42 a.m., Manchester firefighters responded to Building 12 at The Pavilions complex at 465 Buckland Hills Drive. Crews encountered a third-floor rear porch that was on fire and the flames were extending into the dwelling, fire officials said.

An "aggressive attack" brought the fire under control within a few minutes, fire officials said.

One apartment in the 24-unit building was left uninhabitable. Its three displaced occupants were being assisted by the American Red Cross, fire officials said.

No injuries were sustained, fire officials said.
