NEW CANAAN, CT — Road construction is expected to begin Monday in New Canaan and is estimated to take approximately four months, according to police.

Police said on Facebook work will take place Monday through Friday from 7 a.m. to 5 p.m. on Silvermine Road from Clapboard Hill Road to Carter Street, as well as Littlebrook Road from New Norwalk Road to Clapboard Hill Road.

Work on Route 106 from Little Brook Road to Valley Road is slated to begin on Monday after school closes, police said.

Drivers should expect daily closures and detours will be posted. School busses, emergency vehicles and local residential traffic will be allowed access through the worksite, police said.
