NEW LONDON, CT — Summer is here, and that means all your seafood favorites are on the menu from clam strips and lobster rolls to seared scallops and clam chowder. If you're looking for the best seafood in the region, Trips to Discover has you covered with the "15 Best Seafood Restaurants in New England."

Two Connecticut restaurants made the cut. Trips to Discover noted that New England is "known for its fresh, bountiful offerings of incredible seafood," and that narrowing it down to just 15 spots was a "near-impossible task." The site devised the list based on Google reviews, menu variety, and location.

  • Captain Scott's Lobster Dock in New London: This award-winning restaurant is known for its lobster rolls and consistently serving high-quality seafood. Trips to Discover describes the mouth-watering dish this spot is known for: "The signature lobster roll is served on a toasted bun and loaded with hot, buttery pieces of succulent lobster meat and topped with a slice of lemon."
  • Ford's Lobsters in Noank: This small, family-owned restaurant operates year round. It's know for serving the Bisque Bomb, which features a 1/2 lb of fresh-picked lobster served hot and topped with creamy lobster bisque.
