Barbara K. Jones

1942 - 2023

(Bethany German)

Barbara Jones, 81, of Orange, Connecticut, beloved wife of Jeffrey Jones for 57 years, passed away on October 18, 2023. Born on September 19, 1942 in Stamford, Connecticut, she was the daughter of the late Zane and Helen (Serafin) Kaminsky.

Barbara and Jeff spent the first three years of their married life in Japan, where Jeff was stationed with the U.S. Navy. During that time, she learned Japanese and Ikebana flower arranging. She also made lifelong friends. Barbara was a devoted mother, staying home and raising her two children and then helping to care for her grandchildren as well. She cherished quiet days planning and planting her gardens, time spent in her kitchen, sewing, and quilting. Barbara and Jeff enjoyed traveling together around the country and internationally. She had a passion for all kinds of arts and crafts, teaching her family with a creative eye and patient disposition. Barbara was a woman who loved all kinds of animals and had a special place in her heart for cats, birds, and other wildlife.

Barbara will be remembered in the hearts of all who had the honor of loving her and she will live on in their memories.
