Golf Course Mechanic Position

Orange Hills Country club is currently seeking a highly motivated Equipment Manager to join our team.

Prioritize equipment repairs based on the next days’ needs. Working knowledge of engines, to include gas, diesels and hydraulics; general knowledge of golf course maintenance machinery; knowledge of reel and bedknife grinding a plus.
Troubleshoot, inspect, diagnose, repair, grease and maintain equipment and equipment systems. This includes, but is not limited to, operator and equipment safety switch operation, engine tune-ups, carburetor adjustments, and tire repair.
Ensure safe and proper operation of hydraulic, brake, fuel, and steering, electrical, and cooling systems. Repair engine/drive train assemblies, starters, cutting units, roller bearing and seals, carburetors, fuel pumps, hydraulic motors and hoses. Install batteries, and tires. Adjust and sharpen reel mowers to ensure proper reel to bed knife adjustment and proper height-of-cut on all cutting units after units go out each day.
The equipment manager is expected to establish and maintain a shop, which promotes cleanliness, safety, professionalism, and efficiency. Places orders for parts/supplies as needed for

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS: Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Required: Knowledge of principles of equipment and vehicle maintenance, operation and repair. Knowledge of two cycle and four-cycle engines is required.

Qualifying Education and Experience: A high school education with two years of vocational or technical training. Three years proven experience in automotive/drive train/turf equipment repair, including supervisory responsibilities.
