Hazardous Weather Outlook, Wind Advisory Issued for Orange

Another day, another days of Hazardous Weather Outlooks and other advisories from the National Weather Service.

The latest includes the issuance of a “Wind Advisory” and “Hazardous Weather Outlook” for southern Fairfield, southern New Haven, southern Middlesex, and southern New London counties, or also known as the immediate Connecticut coastline from 6 p.m. to 4 a.m. Thursday.

A “Hazardous Weather Outlook” has also been issued for interior sections of Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties for strong winds too and rain.

Here are the latest details via the National Weather Service:

Coastal Connecticut including Milford, Orange, East Haven, Branford Guilford, and Madison:

Winds will be 25 to 35 mph with gusts up to 45 to 50 mph, which could lead to power outages and some down tree limbs.

As for rain it’s mainly very light until 11 a.m. and then it could pick up and fog will also pose an issue. Temps will approach 50 degrees. Thunderstorms are likely tonight too and even some hail is possible. We can expect an inch of rain before it ends very early on Thursday.

Interior sections of southern Connecticut including Naugatuck, Southbury, and Oxford:

There is a chance for isolated damaging wind gusts late tonight and into early Thursday with showers and thunderstorms expected too. Localized flooding is also a concern.

Rain is expected to pick up after 11 a.m. with a half inch of rain during the day, and fog will also be an issue.

Showers and thunderstorms are expected tonight and gusty winds too, as temps rise into the mid 50s tonight. More than an inch of rain is expected.

On the plus side, no snow is in the forecast at least through next Tuesday.
