​John Justin Verbiskas

1932 ~ 2023

John Justin Verbiskas, 90, passed away on May 1, 2023 at his home in Orange, CT. John was born on December 5, 1932 in Scranton, PA to the late John and Anna Verbisky. Beloved husband of the late Gloria Ann Kasinskas Verbiskas.

John was a proud U.S. Naval Veteran and served during the Korean war. Following his service, he went on to have a successful career in engineering for Farrel-Birmingham Co. until his retirement. John was an avid hunter and fisherman, and enjoyed traveling to different states with his hunting buddies in pursuit of his passions.
John is survived by his beloved niece Ellen Turschmann, nephews Joseph (Bridget), Andrew (Vicki), Edward (Debbie), Michael, and Clement (Ann) Kasinskas, John (Sylvana), and Donald (Irene) Stankus, Paul Bernier, Mark (Naomi) Kasinskas, Albert and Mary Ann Kacerguis. John is also survived by many great and great-great nieces and nephews.
Friends and family may call from 10 a.m. to 11 a.m. on Monday May 15, 2023 at the Cody-White Funeral Home (107 Broad St., Milford CT 06460). A Mass of Christian Burial is to follow at Holy Infant Church (450 Racebrook Rd, Orange, CT) at 12 p.m. with burial to follow at Mount Saint Peter Cemetery in Derby, CT.
