New Info Released On Pedestrian Fatal Crash: Town Of Orange PD

ORANGE, CT — After further investigation of the fatal crash on Nov. 14, the Town of Orange Police Department said only one car hit Khurshida Mohammadi, 43, while she was crossing the road at 57 Boston Post Road, police said.

The initial report stated Mohammadi was struck by two vehicles, with one of them fleeing the scene, police said.

During the investigation, officers working on the case obtained video evidence from a vehicle with a dashboard camera when the crash happened, police said.

The video confirmed that Mohammadi was struck by just one vehicle, and the operator of the car stopped at the scene and has been cooperating, police said.

Upon further examination of the video footage, investigators confirmed that the report of a second vehicle involved in the incident, as provided by witnesses, was incorrect, police said.

However, a second vehicle was in the vicinity, and the driver has been identified and is cooperating as a witness, police said.

The investigation remains active, police said.
