Obituary: Theodore A. Schebell

Beloved Husband, Father, Grandfather, Brother and Uncle

Theodore A. Schebell, 89, of Shelton entered into eternal rest on March 6th, 2022, after a long struggle with illness, surrounded by his loving family.
Ted was born on March 1st, 1933, son of the late Gustave and Mary (Caruso) Schebell.
He proudly served in the U.S. Army during the Korean War.
Prior to his retirement, he was employed as a quality control analyst at AVCO Lycoming.
He is survived by his beloved and devoted wife, Betty (Reynolds) Schebell, two loving daughters, Donna Morano and Cheryl Schebell, a wonderful grandson, Eric Morano, along with his fiancé Nikki D’Agostino, and a lovely granddaughter, Mina Schebell.
Ted has one surviving brother, Gus Schebell, wife Betty, along with many nieces and nephews.
He was preceded by his brother, Neal Schebell, along with sister Anita Gallagher.

Theodore, known as “Ted” by friends and family, was surely a man to be remembered. He was a loving and devoted husband for over 65 years to his wife and best friend, Betty, and was a proud father and grandfather, all of whom he loved and adored dearly. All of them were truly lucky to have him in their lives.
He always enjoyed making people laugh with his hilarious jokes, having the whole room light up with joyous tears.
If you heard laughter in the distance, it was Ted brightening somebody’s life with his endless jokes, cheerful humor, and quick wit. He had a delightful spirit.
Have a problem? No problem! He was always right on the ball with his endless amounts of solutions, be it to fix your car or nurture you with a personal issue.
Ted was a true athlete of baseball, while also enjoying many other sports.
He often reminisced about his old army days that date back to the Korean War.
He had a tender heart, his caring and compassionate nature shone through to all that knew him. He loved animals and with his kind spirit, would do all he could to help them.
However, there was nothing he loved more than his family whom miss him dearly.
One day, he will give his hand to them and guide them down a path that leads to peace and love where we shall all eventually meet him once again in open arms.
Ted will be forever missed and loved. Forever the treasure in our hearts, we all thank him for his service.
May he rest in peace.

The Riverview Funeral Home, 390 River Road, Shelton has been entrusted with his arrangements.
