Orange Police, Town Issue Statements On Fireworks Display

The police department and town issued statements about fireworks scheduled for Friday.

ORANGE, CT — The police department confirmed that fireworks scheduled for Friday evening will go on as planned.

The department posted the following on Facebook:

"We have been fielding many phones here at the PD and at Town Hall. The Town Of Orange's concert and fireworks extravaganza this evening is on as planned with the festivities starting at 6:30 PM. See you there."

The town posted the following:

"The Fireworks are on for tonight July 5th! The Town of Orange Independence Day Concert and Fireworks are Friday July 5th. The Fairgrounds open at 3:00 p.m. with Food trucks, Concert starts at 6:30 p.m. followed by the fireworks."
