Orange Student Will Compete In CT Spelling Bee

ORANGE, CT — The Connecticut Spelling Bee will return to West Hartford on March 3. The participants will have the chance to represent the state at the 2024 Scripps National Spelling Bee.

Among those competitors will be a student from Southern Connecticut Hebrew Academy in Orange, according to a statement from the competition.

The 7th Annual Connecticut Spelling Bee is presented by the Noah Webster House and the West Hartford Historical Society. The competition will be at 1 p.m. on March 3 at the Hoffmann Auditorium at the University of Saint Joseph at 1678 Asylum Ave. in West Hartford.

Students who made it to the statewide competition have already won school- or town-wide spelling bees. Over 10,000 Connecticut students in grades two through eight compete in the spelling bee program this year. Fifty-seven students will now move on to the statewide competition.
