Does anyone in your family work in politics or government?

No

Have you ever held a public office, whether appointive or elective?

No

Why are you seeking this office?

I am running to ensure that we create a business-friendly environment that will continue to attract new and diverse businesses, while preserving and maintaining the charm and small town appeal that makes Orange one of the best towns to live in Connecticut.

Please complete this statement: The single most pressing issue facing my constituents is ___, and this is what I intend to do about it.

The best use of town property and I intend to make sure we are focused on issues like maximizing the potential of the Boston Post Road by filling in unoccupied spaces with attractive and diverse businesses, and maximizing the use of other town owned lands like Fred Wolfe Park.

What are the major differences between you and the other candidates seeking this post?

I am not okay with the current state of the Boston Post Road. Too many vacant businesses that have been vacant for far too long. Regardless if taxes are being paid by the building’s owner, it creates a bit of an eye soar and detracts from the overall beauty of the town.

What accomplishments in your past would you cite as evidence you can handle this job?

I have been a real estate attorney for the last 18 years, and I’ve dealt with many of the zoning and permit issues that will come before the board in my own private practice.

What is the best advice anyone ever gave you?

You can do anything that you set your mind to.
