Tickets Available for Amity’s Spring Musical The Addams Family

WOODBRIDGE, CONN −February 19, 2018– Tickets are available for the Amity Regional High School performance of The Addams Family: A New Musical. The musical will be performed by the award-winning Amity Regional High School Theater Department under the direction of Robert and Andrea Kennedy.

Performances are scheduled for April 6, 7, 12, 13 and 14 at 8:00 p.m. at the John J. Brady Center for the Performing Arts at Amity Regional High School, 25 Newton Road in Woodbridge.

The Addams Family: A New Musical is the most recent reincarnation of Charles Addams’ iconic clan, which he originated in his macabre cartoons for The New Yorker. The “mysterious and kooky” family were brought to life in the popular ‘60s television series and on the big screen before opening on Broadway in 2010.

In the musical, a grown-up Wednesday, daughter of Gomez and Morticia, has given up torturing little brother Pugsley and, unbeknownst to her family, fallen in love with a (gasp!) normal boy from a normal family. Havoc ensues when they all gather for dinner at the Addams Family mansion and discover that, no matter our differences, when it comes to family we’re more alike than we think.
