Southern CT Weather: Some 'Accumulating Snow' Possible for Monday

This doesn't appear to be an April Fool's joke, though we wish it was.

I wish this was an early April Fool's Day joke, but it isn't unless the National Weather Service is messing with us. The National Weather Service has issued a Hazardous Weather Outlook for Fairfield, New Haven, Middlesex, and New London counties for the chance of "light accumulating snow" for Monday morning, which could make travel difficult.

Some snow is also expected in northern Connecticut too but no advisory has been issued and it's not expected to amount to much of anything up there. For Southern Connecticut, no snow accumulation estimates have been released, but the weather service says, "A quick moving low pressure system will likely bring a light accumulating snowfall to the region late Sunday Night into Monday morning. This could result in hazardous travel conditions for the Monday morning commute."

And if you look at the forecast for the upcoming week, temps will remain chilly, and it appears spring is still on hold. The good news is that it will be largely dry this holiday weekend but there is a chance for some rain showers tonight and early Sunday morning.
