REDDING, CT — Amidst numerous noise complaints involving fireworks phoned into Redding Police Headquarters last week were these reported motor vehicle accidents:

There were no injuries, but both vehicles were damaged slightly when one backed out of a parking space at the Redding Ridge Market-Deli on Route 58 and into a parked and unoccupied vehicle. The accident occurred on July 2.

That same day, police responded to a report of two motorists clipping each other's mirrors along a narrow section of Giles Hill Road, but both vehicles were gone prior to the officer's arrival.

The following day, Giles Hill Road was again the scene of an accident, this time involving one motorist and a boulder. The driver, who was not injured, told police that he struck the rock after pulling off the road to avoid another vehicle.

On July 7, a driver told police she had fallen asleep at the wheel, before driving off Side Cut Road. Police issued the uninjured woman a ticket for unsafe driving.
