CT Weather: 100 Degree Heat Then Thunderstorms Monday

There are Air Quality alerts and Hazardous Weather Outlooks issued in advance of Monday's weather.

It's going to feel like 100 degrees on Monday once you factor in the heat index. It will be the hottest day of 2018 thus far. Temps will be around 90 degrees on the immediate coast and into the upper 90s inland.

The sweltering temps will be followed by a chance of thunderstorms Monday night and early Tuesday. After the storm chance rolls through, Wednesday, Thursday and Friday look amazing with sunny skies and temps around 80 degrees.

The National Weather Service says on Monday, "Humidity will increase as well, resulting in heat index values across these areas ranging from the mid 90s to upper 90s ... Temperatures will be slightly cooler across ... coastal Connecticut, with highs ranging from the lower 80s far south and east to the mid to upper 80s elsewhere."
