Ridgefield Assessor's Office Now Accepting Applications For Tax Relief

RIDGEFIELD, CT — The Ridgefield Assessor's Office is currently accepting applications from qualified homeowners for the "Town Program for Tax Relief" through April 1, 2024.

In order to qualify, residents must:

  • be 65 years of age or older by December 31, 2023.
  • have resided at and paid real estate taxes on their residence for one year prior to their application.
  • occupy the property at least 183 days of the year, and the property must be their legal domicile;
  • not be receiving any other exemptions on any properties in any other state or within Connecticut.

Homeowners currently receiving this benefit need not reapply.
