Memorial Planned For Ridgefield High School Student Who Died At Age 15

RIDGEFIELD, CT — Memorial services have been scheduled for Thomas John Bergeron III, a student at Ridgefield High School who died suddenly on Monday at the age of 15.

Tommy was the beloved son of Eliana (Romero) and Thomas John Bergeron Jr., "TJ" and the loving brother of Luna Bergeron, according to his obituary.

“The loss for our students' family and friends is one that is unimaginable, and we offer them our prayers and unconditional love and attention," Superintendent Susie Da Silva said in a message to the school community on Monday.

A prayer vigil will be held on Friday, Nov. 3, 2023, at 3:00 p.m. at Jesse Lee Memorial United Methodist Church, 207 Main Street, Ridgefield. A funeral service will take place on Saturday, Nov. 4, 2023, at 10:30 a.m. at Jesse Lee. There will be no calling hours and interment will take place privately.

Friends and family of the Bergerons have established a GoFundMe that has raised over $60,000 for the family since it was created Tuesday.

"While we cannot take away their pain, we can help this loving family with the many financial burdens they now face," the fundraiser's organizers posted
