Central Connecticut State University, New Britain CT

  • A number of students from South Windsor were named to the spring 2024 Dean’s List at Central Connecticut State University. They were Benjamin Aballe, Ava Abbruzzese, Chelsea Adjei, Deneja Atkins, Sebastian Borek, Tori Burhans, Nikki Chung, Haydin Courtois, Corrine Fabrycki, Jaylene Ferrabelo, Vanessa Giroux, Blake Greiner, Matt Hammond, Sean Holmes, Amanda Kamm, Chloe Kapisak, Aidan Kieft, Daniel LiNoce, Kate Francine Luci, Samruddhi Marathe, Abbie Mathew, Benjamin Menhennett, Brianna Miranda, Mariana Ormaechea-Lugones, Olivia Petgrave, Jordan Roberts, Cj Rodgers, Athena Savvides, Evan Smagacz and Minh Tram.

College of Our Lady of the Elms, Chicopee MA

  • Kunal Khattar of South Windsor graduated with a Post Bachelor's Certificate in pre-med studies from Elms College during the May 18, 2024 commencement ceremony. Khattar was among 400 students who received their degrees. Khattar also was named to the spring 2024 Dean's List. To qualify, a full-time student must earn a GPA of 3.5 or higher, without incompletes.

Emmanuel College, Boston MA

  • Nicole Hunter of South Windsor graduated magna cum laude from Emmanuel College on Saturday, May 18, 2024, during the college's 102nd commencement exercises on its campus in Boston. Hunter received a Bachelor of Science in biology with a concentration in health sciences during the ceremony.
  • Kailey Migneault and Michael Wills, both of South Windsor, were among more than 800 students named to the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. To earn a spot on the Dean's List, Emmanuel students must achieve a grade point average of 3.5 or higher for a 16-credit semester.

  • Melissa Sullivan of South Windsor made the Dean's List for the spring 2024 semester. To be named to the Dean’s List, a student must obtain a minimum grade point average of 3.5, receive no grade below a "C," have no withdrawal grades, and be enrolled in a minimum of 12 credits for the semester.

Plymouth State University, Plymouth NH

  • Sean Kennedy of South Windsor graduated from Plymouth State University during its 153rd anniversary commencement ceremony on May 11, 2024. Kennedy graduated cum laude with a Bachelor of Science in meteorology. Kennedy was among more than 500 Class of 2024 undergraduate students who received degrees.

Rochester Institute of Technology, Rochester NY

  • Rochester Institute of Technology conferred nearly 4,500 degrees at all of its campuses in the 2023-2024 academic year. RIT's academic convocation celebration was held in May and featured remarks by Patricia "Pattie" Moore, a distinguished designer and trailblazing alumna of the class of 1974. Charles Lagasse of South Windsor received a BS and MS in cybersecurity, and Matt Wylie of South Windsor received a BS in human-centered computing.
  • Ellinor Edstrom of South Windsor was named to the Dean's List at Rochester Institute of Technology for the spring semester of the 2023-2024 academic year. Edstrom is in the graphic design program. Full-time degree-seeking undergraduate students are eligible for Dean's List if their term GPA is greater than or equal to 3.400; they do not have any grades of "Incomplete", "D" or "F"; and they have registered for, and completed, at least 12 credit hours.

University of Rhode Island, Kingston RI

  • The University of Rhode Island celebrated more than 4,100 of its newest alumni during the university's 2024 commencement. Nearly 4,000 undergraduate degrees and 800 graduate degrees were conveyed to students during the ceremonies, which took place May 17-19, 2024.
    Among them were Victoria Mitchell, Dhespina Hatika and Lia Pendergast, all of South Windsor.
