TRUMBULL, CT — Trumbull Mall is celebrating the start of sales tax-free week by hosting the Connecticut State Food Truck Festival this weekend.

According to a news release provided on behalf of the mall, the festival will be held Saturday from 11 a.m. to 8 p.m. and on Sunday from 11 a.m. to 7 p.m.

In addition to nearly 30 confirmed food trucks, festival-goers will find a DJ, bounce houses and other children’s activities, 25 additional small businesses and vendors, as well as several food eating competitions.

"We've already seen business picking up as we near the end of the summer," Trumbull Mall General Manager Chris Powers said in a news release, "and look forward to the additional foot traffic that both the food truck festival and sales tax-free week will bring through."

For shoppers who aren't able to make it out during sales tax-free week, the mall will be open on Labor Day, Sept. 2, from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Department store and restaurant hours may vary.
