Jacob's Well Christian Coffeehouse will feature professional comedian Rhonda Corey on Friday, August 2. Doors will open at 7 p.m., and the event will begin at 7:30 p.m. The coffeehouse will be held in The Oasis, the cozy renovated 1800s storefront adjacent to Union Church at 3 Elm Street in the historic Rockville section of Vernon, Connecticut.

Corey is an award-winning comedian from Warwick, Rhode Island who embodies the New England spirit, performing at many conferences, fundraisers, women's events, clubs, coffeehouses, and church events. In 2018, she competed against 22 comedians and won the Clean Comedy Challenge, a national contest held in Chicago. In January of 2023, she launched the Funny Together Tour. Developed for churches, the show features clean comedy from national touring comedians. This is her third visit to Jacob's Well.

Founded in 1995, Jacob's Well is patterned after the original "Jesus Revolution" coffeehouses in the 1960s and 1970s and is one of the oldest continuously-operating coffeehouses in Connecticut.
