Update: I-91 Crash In Wethersfield Quickly Cleared

WETHERSFIELD, CT — A two-vehicle crash on Interstate 91 Tuesday morning in Wethersfield had area motorists on edge during their morning commutes, but it was quickly cleared up.

According to the state Department of Transportation, the accident happened at about 7:52 a.m. today on the southbound side between exits 25N and 24.

By 8:08 a.m., however, the DOT via its Twitter feed reported that the crash, which was near the Route 3 interchange, was already cleared.

The right shoulder was closed, according to the DOT.
