Amazon Fresh Adding Workers At DC, Franconia Grocery Stores In Coming Months

FRANCONIA/DC —Amazon Fresh is hiring workers at its grocery stores in Washington, D.C., and Franconia, with all jobs offering starting wages at least $15 per hour and comprehensive benefits, the company said Wednesday.

In the D.C. area, Amazon Fresh stores are expected to employ more than 750 people by the end of the year. Candidates interested in applying for roles at these Amazon Fresh stores can visit www.amazonstores.jobs to learn more and apply.

In July, Amazon Fresh opened its D.C. grocery store in Logan Circle. The new Logan Circle store followed the opening of the Amazon Fresh store in Franconia two months earlier.

The Logan Circle store is at 1733 14th Street NW. The Franconia store is at the Festival at Manchester Lakes shopping center at 7005 C Manchester Boulevard.

The new concept Amazon Fresh stores offer a variety of national brands, produce, meat, seafood, and prepared foods made fresh in store. The stores carry 365 by Whole Foods Market organic brand products, national brands like Coca-Cola and Kraft Mac and Cheese; local brands like Mason Dixie Biscuits, Bread Furst Bakery, and Taharka Brothers Ice Cream, regional picks like Duke's Mayo and Boston Chowda.

The stores also carry new Amazon exclusive brands like Aplenty, Fresh and Cursive. Prepared foods include options fresh-baked bread, made-to-order pizzas, rotisserie chickens and hot sandwiches.
