More than $1.7 million in funds and gifts have been granted to local kids charities by Boca West Children’s Foundation so far this 2023-2024 fiscal year. As the season wraps up, the Foundation’s more than 30 charity partners received grants to fund specific projects, ranging from cribs and diapers to early childhood education, afterschool care, tutoring, counseling, and much more.
The funds were raised through signature fundraising events, including the Golf Challenge, Walk the Walk, and a luncheon featuring Food Network star Chef Alex Guarnaschelli. Funds were also raised through an Annual Appeal to members of Boca West Country Club, donations from donors throughout the area, and a raffle drawing.
“All of this was made possible due to the hard work and dedication of our Board of Directors, members of Boca West Country Club, and donors in our community,” said Pamela Weinroth, Executive Director of the Foundation. “We have raised a total of $19 million since the launch of Boca West Children’s Foundation in 2010.”
Richard Zenker, Chairman of Boca West Children’s Foundation Board, said “The funds we grant to our charity partners directly help children and families in need, from providing backpacks with food, to diapers, beds, aftercare, tutoring, summer and sports camps, counseling, college scholarships, and so much more.”
