Chesterbrook Academy® Preschoolers Donate Toys and Food For Holiday

Students collected toys and nonperishable goods to benefit children in need this holiday season

Students from Chesterbrook Academy Preschool in Port St. Lucie recently donated dozens of toys to benefit Toys for Tots, a gift drive run by the U.S. Marine Corps Reserve, and Christmas
4 Kids. Over the past few weeks, students held a toy drive in partnership with Teamsters Local 769 to fulfill the wish lists of local children in need. After the collection, students helped to load the donated toys into the car during pick-up.

In addition to the Toys for Tots and Christmas 4 Kids donations, students also held a food drive to benefit House of Hope, a local nonprofit that provides food, clothing, furniture and essential resources to Martin County residents in need. Students collected 189 pounds of nonperishable goods to help provide meals to community members supported by the organization. Through these initiatives, students learned the importance of giving back to the community, especially during the holiday season.
