Armed Robbery Suspects Stole Gun From FL Publix Security Guard: Police

Detectives are looking for two suspects in an armed robbery at a Clearwater Publix, police said.

CLEARWATER, FL — Detectives are looking for two suspects in an armed robbery at the Publix grocery store at 1295 S. Missouri, Clearwater police wrote in a Facebook post.

An armed security guard was walking outside the store Wednesday about 7 p.m. when the two rode by on bicycles.

One of the suspects grabbed the gun from the guard’s holster, causing the guard to fall to the ground, police said. The suspects rode away on their bikes with the gun.
