JAX Chamber: CHW Promotes A. Kevin Smith, PSM, CH As CHW's Director Of Surveying + Mapping

Gainesville, FL, March 2, 2022– CHW Professional Consultants, a 30+ year planning, design, surveying, engineering, landscape architecture, and construction services firm is pleased to announce the promotion of A. Kevin Smith, PSM, CH, to Director of Surveying + Mapping. In his new role, Kevin will help lead CHW’s expansion into new markets and technologies by streamlining department scheduling, onboarding new scanning systems, and providing direction, assistance, and leadership to our surveying + mapping department.

Kevin is a licensed professional surveyor and mapper (PSM) and certified hydrographer with over 11 years of experience. He is one of seventeen professional land surveyors to obtain the Hydrographer Certification in the State of Florida. Kevin has experience managing both large-scale and small-scale civil and utility construction projects, subsurface utility engineering, and hydrographic survey operations working both in the Public and Private sectors. Additionally, his invaluable experience as a construction project manager for clients including DEP and FDOT, allows him to foresee and handle project needs.

Kevin Smith earned a B.S., Bachelor of Science in Geomatics from the University of Florida. He will remain based at CHW offices in Gainesville/Alachua County.
