JAX Chamber: Rounded Gear Partners With Poland-Based Distributor To Donate Trauma Kits To Ukraine As Medical Supplies Become Scarce

The trauma kit includes a tourniquet for massive bleeding, a 6-inch vent chest seal for chest or torso injury, a modular bandage (pressure bandage) for wound care, and a pair of nitrile gloves. Instructions are provided with the kit for the use of each kit component.

Of the more than 500,000 Ukrainians that have fled the country, more than 115,000 are seeking refuge in Poland, according to Pawel Szefernaker, Poland’s deputy interior minister. The World Health Organization has called for much-needed medical supplies, and is working with several organizations for safe delivery within Ukraine.

According to Sang Cho, president for Rounded, “We are joining forces with our Polish distribution partner to show our concern for the Ukrainian people. We have seen the reports that medical personnel and facilities are overwhelmed and help may not reach those who need medical assistance immediately. Having this kit can save lives.”

Rounded and Jammas are providing the trauma kits to the Ukrainian embassy for safe distribution to those who need them most. Jammas CEO, Adam Jędrzejewski, is coordinating the donation effort with the embassy.
