Man, 23, Killed In Belcher Road Crash
A 23-year-old man was killed in a Monday morning crash on North Belcher Road near Grove Place.
LARGO, FL — The Largo Police Department is investigating a Monday morning crash that left a 23-year-old man dead and another man injured.
According to the agency, Christopher Gonzalez was heading north in the median lane of North Belcher Road around 9:33 a.m. Oct. 9. As Gonzalez neared Grove Place in his Nissan Altima, police say the vehicle left its lane and hit a Chevrolet truck that was stopped in the shared center turn lane. Gonzalez, the police department said, died at the scene. His passenger, Alfredo James, 22, was taken to a local hospital with injuries, but is expected to survive.

Police have not released information about the driver of the Chevrolet.
No charges have been announced as the investigation remains active. Police, however, say that criminal charges are not expected. Further information is not being released at this time.
