Aircraft Loses Power, Goes Off Runway At Zephyrhills Airport: Reports
The airplane was attempting to take off at the Zephyrhills Municipal Airport when the incident occurred, reports said.
ZEPHYRHILLS, FL —An airplane attempting to take off at the Zephyrhills Municipal Airport lost power and ran off the runway Saturday, according to multiple reports citing police.
Zephyrhills Police responded to the airport shortly before 10:20 a.m. after receiving calls about an aircraft going off the runway, according to a WTSP report.
Police said the aircraft was about to take off when it lost power, WFLA reported. Unable to stop, the aircraft continued past the end of the runway and struck a fence, reports said.
