SARASOTA, FL — An early Thursday shooting that left one adult injured is under investigation in Sarasota, authorities said.

The shooting happened just after midnight near the 1800 block of 20th Street, according to a Sarasota Police Department news release.

The victim sustained non-life-threatening injuries.

The incident was isolated and there’s no immediate danger to the public, police said.
