3 Bealls Stores Celebrate Grand Opening In Sarasota County Plaza

ENGLEWOOD, FL — Bealls Inc. hosts its first-ever triple grand opening Friday through Sunday as three stores under the company’s brand open their doors in the same southern Sarasota County shopping center.

bealls, Bealls Florida and Home Centric, which all recently rebranded, will open in the Merchants Crossing plaza at 1500 Placida Road in Englewood, according to a news release from the company.

Earlier this year, the Bradenton-based company rebranded Bealls Outlet and Burkes Outlet as bealls. The company also renamed its original Bealls stores to Bealls Florida to match the beallsflorida.com website.

The first 200 guests in line in Englewood Friday at 9 a.m. will receive a free gift card valued at $10, $20 or $50. All weekend shoppers can also enter to win a $500 gift card to the stores.

A centerpiece of the weekend is an art contest hosted by Bealls Inc. and Embracing Our Differences. Local art students were asked to create works with the theme of what Englewood means to them.

Three artists were selected to have their art featured on a special-edition stainless-steel cup that will be sold during the grand opening at the Englewood stores.

A donation will also be presented to the non-profit organization. The winners and their art teachers will each receive a Bealls gift card.
