3 Injured In Pick-Up Truck Crash: FL Highway Patrol

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — Three people were injured, two critically, in a crash between two pick-up trucks Sunday afternoon, according to a Florida Highway Patrol news release.

One truck was heading east on Fruitville Road, west of Vic Edwards Road, while the other was traveling west around 2:30 p.m.

The truck traveling east, driven by a 24-year-old Lakewood Ranch man, drove into the westbound travel lane and hit the other truck, FHP said.

He and his passenger, a 24-year-old woman, were critically injured in the crash.

The other truck’s driver, a 70-year-old Sarasota man, suffered minor injuries.
