SARASOTA, FL — The city of Sarasota is compiling its first-ever Public Art Roster and accepting artist applications.

The roster will pre-qualify artists for consideration for public art-funded initiatives for 2024 to 2026, according to a news release from the city.

Artists can apply at www.Sarasotafl.gov/CallForArtists.

The roster will serve as the primary tool to launch new strategies and goals for citywide public art projects.

“The Public Art program is positioned for growth and advancement due to the City Commission’s recent adoption of the Public Art Plan,” Public Art Manager Mary Davis Wallace said. “The artist roster will streamline the process by pre-qualifying local, regional and international artists for a variety of exciting projects over the next few years.”

The roster is open to individual artists, artist teams, and artist collectives. Applications will be accepted through Monday.
