Battle for the Barrel

West Florida Golf Tour partners with Oak & Stone for 2018 Summer Series

The West Florida Golf Tour (WFGT), a professional tournament series offering more than 70 events each year, recently announced a title partnership with Oak & Stone, a locally owned new American craft beer, artisanal pizza and gourmet fare tavern, for the 2018 “Oak & Stone Battle for the Barrel” summer series.

In addition to cash prizes that range from $4,000 to $10,000, which are awarded to the top players of each of the 15-tour series, winners will receive special Oak & Stone commemorative handheld whiskey barrel awards and Oak & Stone gift cards.

Since 2010, WFGT has paid out over four million in cash, including one-third of the players in every field receiving an entry fee pay back. More than 20 of the current players have PGA tour affiliations and 150+ players hold sanctioned tour status.
