Best FL Beaches Dominate List Of 2024's Top 25 In The U.S.: Ranking

FLORIDA — Nine Florida beaches are among the top 25 in the United States, according to Tripadvisor’s 2024 Traveler’s Choice Awards Best of the Best ranking.

And one beach in the Sunshine State even cracked the top 25 list for the best beaches in the world.

The rankings are compiled based on reviews and ratings collected from travelers over 12 months, the website said.

Siesta Beach in the Sarasota area nabbed the No. 2 spot on the U.S. list and also landed at No. 9 in the global ranking.

“As the name suggests, Siesta Beach is a great spot for a lazy and relaxing day in the sun. Lay on its cool, white, and powdery sand, or take a dip in the crystal clear waters. The kids will love collecting the beautifully shaped shells, too,” according to the Tripadvisor listing for Siesta Beach. “And don't (worry) about the kids — there are lifeguards on duty. While there aren't many beachside food options, you can head to the nearby cafes and oyster bars. Get a beachfront condo to make the most of your stay, or visit for the awesome sunset views on an e-bike tour of Siesta Key. There's even a Siesta Beach drum circle on some days.”

The top beach in the world was Praia da Falésia in Portugal, while the No. 1 beach in the U.S. is Ka'anapali Beach in Hawaii.
