Girl Scouts to host open house

Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida will be holding two open houses on September 7 & 8 for girls in grades K-12 and their families.

Sarasota, FL–Girl Scouts of Gulfcoast Florida will be holding two open houses this weekend for girls in grades K-12 and their families.

Fun, games, and hands-on activities will be featured on Saturday, September 7 from 10 a.m.-noon and Sunday, September 8 from 2-4 p.m. at the Gulfcoast Event and Conference Center, 4740 Cattlemen Road in Sarasota. Participants can learn more about program opportunities for girls and volunteer options for adults.

The new Girl Scout membership year officially kicks off on October 1. The organization recently expanded its programming to include 42 new badges related to outdoor high adventure, computer coding, cybersecurity, space science, and citizen science. Program scholarships are available based on financial need.
