Lanes To Close At US41-Gulfstream Roundabout Thursday Night: Sarasota

SARASOTA, FL — Lanes will close at the U.S. 41-Gulfstream Avenue roundabout Thursday night while Florida Department of Transportation crews work in the area, the city of Sarasota shared on its Facebook page.

Starting at 7 p.m., crews will install pavement markings near the roundabout. Existing pavement markings will also be removed near the Gulfstream Avenue-Sunset Drive intersection, the city said.

Rolling short-term lane closures will be in place for two to three hours while the work is being completed.

Drivers are advised to use caution in the area and stay alert for possible lane closures. FDOT will maintain access for all routes in the area, the city said.

Noise from vehicle backup alarms and grinding equipment can also be expected.
