Manasota Key Road Reopens To Traffic After Hurricane: Sarasota County

Work on North Casey Key Road, which was also damaged during Hurricane Idalia, will be done the week of Nov. 27, Sarasota County said.

SARASOTA COUNTY, FL — The section of Manasota Key Road that was damaged during Hurricane Idalia at the end of August has reopened to traffic, according to a Sarasota County news release.

The final guardrail installation on the road is expected to be completed next week. During this work, the road may be temporarily closed for a couple of days.

Work to replace the wooden guardrail system along the revetment area of North Casey Road, which was also damaged during the hurricane, is scheduled to be completed the week of Nov. 27.

While work is underway, one lane of the road will be closed between 532 and 846 North Casey Key Road, the county said. One lane will remain open to traffic throughout construction.

Drivers are asked to use caution on both roads, the county said.
